About Us

The Orman Institute for Active Wellness was started by Dr. David Orman and his wife, Lisa A. Leitl. Their goal and passion for a healthier lifestyle gave rise to new ideas, products and services for people like you. Through this site, we want to share our expertise so anyone can like a healthy, extraordinary life.

Dr. David Orman is an Acupuncture Physician, Master Herbalist and Nutritional expert, having been in the field of Natural medicine for 20 years. In addition to having the most successful Natural medicine practice in South Florida, David has taught at schools and universities as well as lectured to Congress. He is the developer of the popular anti-aging formula, Hgh Plus™ as well as NBTA Blood Test analysis software. In addition, he is the co-developer of Doctor's Visit on CD and Miles with Meaning.

In his personal life, Dr. Orman is an avid martial artist, having 2 black belts and 1 brown. He is also a marathoner, having completed several half and full marathons as well as the Goofy Challenge at Disney (39.3 miles over a 24 hour period).

Lisa is the President of the Orman Institute for Active Wellness, home of Hgh Plus. David, her husband, developed the formula and together they have created a success story. She has been told by business coaches she is a “serial entrepreneur,” always onto the next adventure. This plays out both in her professional and personal endeavors.

Lisa is an accomplished artist turned athlete. She now runs in events ranging from 10K - marathons. Her most recent success was the completion of the Goofy Challenge 2007 at Disney World.
